WHITE HALL — The White Hall boys soccer team had its second consecutive shutout in a 4-0 win over Sheridan Thursday.
White Hall (2-0) had eight shots on goal in the first half and scored twice.
Jordan Lawson assists Ruben Zamora for the first goal in the 21st minute. In the 28th minute, Tommy Towson scored the second goal on a penalty kick.
White Hall had nine shots on goal in the second half and scored twice again.
In the 21st minute in the second half, Lawson assisted Kinzie Kight for a goal, and Ben Malone scored on a corner kick from Towson in the 28th minute in the second half. Cody Jones had his second straight shutout in goal for White Hall and made two saves.

Sheridan had two shots on goal in the first half and none in the second half.
White Hall plays Saturday in Sheridan tournament against Sheridan, Sylvan Hills and Arkadelphia.
GIRLS SOCCER
Sheridan 2, White Hall 1
WHITE HALL — White Hall gave up one goal in the second half and was held scoreless in the same time frame, which led to a 2-1 Sheridan win on Thursday.
After the first half, the score was tied at 1. White Hall (0-1-1) took a 1-0 lead in the 16th minute on Cora Lowery’s goal, and Sheridan tied the game in the 21st minute.
In the 22nd minute of the second half, Sheridan scored its second goal.
White Hall plays at 5 p.m. on March 9 at home against Warren.
SOFTBALL
Watson Chapel 6, Stuttgart 5
Lauren McCullough drove in the game winning run as Watson Chapel defeated Stuttgart 6-5 in the season-opener.
Maegan Greer pitched a complete game for the win for Watson Chapel (1-0).
On offense, Sydney Crossett went 3-for-4 and Lauren Lagrone was 2-for-3, Stuttgart fell to 0-2 on the year.
Watson Chapel plays at 4:30 today in Benton.
Dumas 23, Hermitage 2
DUMAS — Dumas erupted for 13 runs in the third inning Tuesday as the Lady Cats blasted Hermitage 23-2 in softball action.
The Lady Cats led 4-2 after the first inning and 102 after the second beofre the game was called due to the mercy rule in the third.
Sabra Creighton, Whitney Lemonds and Mallory Moreland each collected two hits to pace Dumas at the plate. Brook Patton drove in two runs with a single and scored three times, Casssie Dale singled and scored three times, Jala Patterson singled and scored four times and Khianna Walker singled and scored twice.
Creighton picked up the win on the mound.

Woodlawn 7, Mayflower 2
MAYFLOWER — Trey Hawkins belted a grand slam in the top of the fourth inning to help Woodlawn remain unbeaten (3-0) with a win at Mayflower.
Brett Boyd, Dillon Miller and Gavin Johnston all singled to start the frame, setting the table for Hawkins.
Mayflower led 2-0 entering the third inning when Daniel Rissenger singled in a pair of runs to tie the game and Blake Brown chased Rissenger home for a 3-2 lead.
Rissenger finished with a single and double, Rissenger singled twice, Miller singled and doubled, Johnston singled twice and Hawkins added a single to his blast.
Boyd recorded the win on the mound with four innings pitched, allowing two hits, walking three and striking out three.
Johnson went two innings in relief and Jacob Richardson finished the seventh.
Woodlawn will host Harmony Grove today at 4:30 p.m.
Drew Central 6, Warren 5
MONTICELLO — Drew Central scored a run in the fourth inning to beat Warren 6-5 Thursday in the Southeast Arkansas Slugfest Tournament.
The game was limited to an hour and a half, but was tied at 3 after the time limit was up after three innings.
Logan Adams took the loss for Warren (1-1) and went one-third of an inning and gave up one hit and one earned run. Justin Hall was 2-for-2 with two RBIs and Wesley Cornish added an RBI.
No stats were available for Drew Central.
Warren plays at 11:45 p.m. Saturday against Dollarway and plays Norphlet following the first game.
