White Hall Founders Day Festival will be celebrated Oct. 18 and plans are underway for the annual parade and other activities, according to the White Hall Chamber of Commerce Facebook page.
“Show your community pride at the White Hall Founders Day Parade! Be part of the fun and excitement — whether you’re a local business, school group, church, club, or just a proud community member, we want YOU in the parade,” according to the Chamber.
Interested participants are encouraged to join their neighbors and the rest of the White Hall community to watch the color and pageantry of the annual Founders Day parade at 10 a.m. Oct. 18 starting at the U.S. Post Office and running north on Dollarway Road through White Hall, then turning left on Anderson Avenue towards City Park.
“Better yet, get your group together and actually be in the parade, whether you march, ride or roll,” according to the post.
Independent reporting for Pine Bluff & Jefferson County since 1879.
There is no cash fee to be in the parade, but participants must bring at least one non-perishable food item per person in their group for the White Hall Food Pantry.
The deadline to register a parade entry is Oct. 15. Also, bring bags of candy to toss to the crowd from your float.
Organizers are also accepting vendors, food trucks and local performers for the talent show for this year’s event.
