WHITE HALL – The Smart family, operators of one of Pine Bluff’s oldest companies, received approval Monday of a conditional use request for some 15 acres to move the majority of their automobile and truck franchises to White Hall.
Roger Smart Jr., general manager, told the White Hall Planning Commission that plans call for developing Smart Auto Mall northeast of the U.S. 270 and Interstate 530 interchange.
He said the land, owned by Smart Properties LLC, will be occupied by three buildings to house their General Motors, Honda and Hyundai dealerships.
The family has been in the automobile business in Pine Bluff for 106 years.
