WH Noon Lions plan chicken fundraiser

The White Hall Noon Lions Club will sponsor its second annual John Terry Memorial Tyson Chicken Dinner Fundraiser.

The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, April 7, on the parking lot of Cranford’s Fresh World at White Hall. Tickets are $7 and can be purchased from any member of the Lions Club or at the fundraiser.

The chicken dinner fundraiser was named for the late John Terry, who was a charter member of the Lions Club and very active in the community.

“The White Hall Noon Lions Club is a local group of service-minded men and women who do volunteer work to help the blind and less fortunate and support their community,” a spokeswoman said in a news release. “The club has been very active throughout the year and has supported and made donations to several organizations in the community.”

The Lions Club meets on the first Thursday of each month at noon at White Hall City Hall. Each month the club has informative programs and conducts business pertaining to their activities, the spokeswoman said.
