Several thousand people gathered in White Hall City Park Oct. 18 for the Chamber of Commerce’s 2025 Founders Day celebration. In addition to booths, games and food trucks, there were barbecue and antique car competitions, live music and more.
Founders Day observance began with a pancake breakfast and annual parade. The parade was scheduled to start at the U.S. Post Office and run north on Dollarway Road through White Hall, then turn left on Anderson Avenue towards City Park, where most of the activities were held.
The festival celebrated the 61st anniversary of the city.
“Ever since the city of White Hall’s incorporation on July 14, 1964, the Founders Day Fall Festival has been the city’s most popular and widely attended event during our community’s chock-full annual calendar of events,” according to https://whitehallfoundersday.com/.
“As old as the tradition, itself, is the parade that kicks off the celebration. The festival, held in White Hall City Park, has always included a showcase of performances by a wide variety of local talent, including dance troupes, gymnastics teams, bands, choirs and others,” according to the website.
