With the Southeast Arkansas District Fair set to begin next week, there is still time to submit entries for the annual fair queen and talent contests.
Heather Bankhead, who is co-chair of the event, said entries, which are available online at www.sedistrictfair.com, must be submitted by Wednesday. Events begin Monday, Sept. 26 with the “A Little Mr. and Miss Jefferson County” pageant beginning at 6:30 p.m. for ages 0-12.
On Tuesday, the Jefferson County Youth Talent Show for ages 10-21 will be held, beginning at 6:30 p.m., along with the Junior Miss and Miss Jefferson County pageants for ages 13-21.
The winner of the Miss Jefferson County Pageant will receive a $1,000 scholarship to Southeast Arkansas College.
