Saturday’s scheduled SWAC basketball doubleheader between the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and Texas Southern has been postponed to Feb. 4, UAPB announced Friday.
The men’s and women’s teams were set to play in what would have been UAPB’s first SWAC home games of the season at H.O. Clemmons Arena, but the winter weather hitting Jefferson County led to the postponement.
This is the first men’s game and second women’s game affected by the winter storm. The Lady Lions were originally scheduled to play Prairie View A&M on Thursday.
Both teams remain scheduled to host Prairie View on Monday, with the women playing at 3 p.m. and the men to follow.
UAPB will honor tickets for the postponed Texas Southern games on the rescheduled date.
