Two Watson Chapel Junior High School teams won top awards during the fall 2016 Stock Market Game conducted by Economics Arkansas.
In Region 6, Watson Chapel Junior High School First Place team members were Alaysia Battles, Kaleigh Jones, Haley Hankins amd Ja kaveia Bell. Second Place team members were Darian Summerville, Quishawn Hudson, Elaysia Williams, Davion Collier, and Quentin Morris.
The Watson Chapel adviser is Lillian Hemphill. The school congratulates the students on their wins, a spokeswoman said.
“This marks the 7th rime in a row WCJHS has won this event,” Hemphill said in a news release. “Special thanks to Arkansas State Treasurer Dennis Milligan and staff for the use of his private office and personal kitchen while our students worked on their thank you letters. Super Special thanks goes to the 3M Corporation for adopting Ms. Lillian Hemphill’s Economics classes during the Fall semester.”
