Both the Watson Chapel junior and senior high school campuses were locked down for a brief period Thursday morning, according to Superintendent Danny Hazelwood.
Hazelwood said the campuses were locked down as a precaution after police made an arrest at a former business on Sulphur Springs Road, across from both the schools.
“The person never got on campus, but we heard he had a gun and I asked my security personnel if the person had a gun and they said yes,” Hazelwood said.
The two campuses were reopened after about 15 minutes, Hazelwood said.
