The 23rd Christmas Candlelight Tour of Homes is scheduled for 2 to 6 p.m. Dec. 11 in Bradley County.
Sponsored by the GFWC Warren Woman’s Club, the annual tour has proven to be an important part of the Christmas season as local families share their homes and Christmas traditions. Since the first tour in 1987, almost 100 homes have been shared with the community, according to a spokesman. Proceeds from the tour will benefit the Bradley County Historical Museum.
Four residences decorated for Christmas and awaiting visits, are featured on this year’s tour. The 2011 tour includes Chateau Sante, the home of Paul and Tammie Limoges located on Bradley Road at 431 Bradley 23; Mike Bigham Home, located at 201 Bradley 23; John Lipton Home at 108 S. Walnut St., and the Bradley County Historical Museum at 200 Ash St.
A “Nativity Exhibit” and a “Festival of Wreaths” are new attractions for this year’s tour and will be held at the Bradley County Historical Museum. The Festival of Wreaths exhibition will include over 25 donated wreaths. The presentation will include the traditional Christmas designs along with other seasonal wreaths. The beautiful creations will also be available for purchase to the highest bidder. For more information, contact Phyllis Parnell at 870-226-5756.
Tickets may be purchased from Warren Woman’s Club members or at the homes on the day of the tour. Admission is $9 pre-sale or $10 at the door. For more information, contact Joen Bryant at 870-226-2426 or Glenda Cross at 870-226-5758.
