Two of eight provisional ballots from the Nov. 14 special election for two tax measures in Pine Bluff were counted, finalizing the outcome of both votes.
None of the voters whose ballots were in question issued challenges before the Jefferson County Election Commission, who met Monday evening. Commission Chairman Michael Adam said two of the provisional ballots could have been counted had proper identification been shown.

A five-eighths-cent sales and use tax for general purposes: 1,960 against, 1,491 for. A three-eighths-cent sales and use tax for fire and police departments: 1,765 against, 1,560 for.
Watson Chapel annual school election on a millage rate of 39.8 (approved August 2022): 348 against, 286 for.
The next Election Commission meeting is Dec. 6.
