A city-wide cleanup event is being planned for Oct. 6 in an effort to beautify Pine Bluff. Participants must meet organizers at 16th Avenue and Cherry Street at 8:30 a.m. Materials and a free lunch provided by Tyson foods will be provided to volunteers. The Pine Bluff Police Department, which is one of several sponsors of the event, has said cleaning up neighborhoods is directly linked to lower crime rates.
