Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System is accepting entries for the local 2016 National Veterans Creative Arts Festival. The deadline to enter is March 8. A public viewing is scheduled for March 11.
Up to three entries may be submitted by each veteran. Registration forms are available at the Eugene J. Towbin Healthcare Center, 2200 Fort Roots Drive, North Little Rock, AR, Bldg. 170, Room 1E-173. Competition items may be turned in there.
The 60 categories include visual art, dance, drama, music and creative writing. The competition is free to enter, but participants must be U.S. military veterans who are enrolled at and receive care from the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System, including community-based outpatient clinics at Conway, El Dorado, Hot Springs, Mena, Mountain Home, Pine Bluff, Russellville or Searcy.
