Veterans from the Revolutionary War to the current wars in Iraq and Afghanistan will be honored at two separate memorial services this weekend.
On Sunday, Hearin-Connolly Post 32 of the American Legion will conduct a Memorial Day service in the Veterans Section of Graceland Cemetery beginning at 2 p.m.
Brigadier General LeAnne Burch (Ret.) will be the featured speaker for that service, which will also feature a fly-by by members of the Black Pilots Association it 2 p.m., and Civil War re-en actors.
On Monday, a Memorial Day service will begin at 10 a.m. at the Veteran’s Monument at the White Hall Museum .
Army Col. Diego Gonzalez, the medical officer at the Pine Bluff Arsenal, and former Jefferson County Sheriff Boe Fontaine will speak, as will White Hall Mayor Noel Foster.
A flyover at the end of the memorial service will be conducted by the Razorback Chapter of the Experimental Aircraft Association, based at Grider Field in Pine Bluff.
