The 23rd annual Enchanted Land of Lights and Legends holiday lights display will open at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, at Regional Park at Pine Bluff. World War II veteran Thomas Franklin Vaughns will flip the switch on the display, according to a news release.
The Pine Bluff Festival Association Board of Directors invites the community to the opening of the drive through holiday lights exhibit.
“Our efforts include remembering the sacrifices made by our military men and women both living and deceased,” according to the release. “We are honored that Mr. Thomas Franklin Vaughns, a retired Sergeant First Class of WWII and the Korean War and the oldest living veteran in our community will flip the switch this year. Afterwards, the only walk through of our route will be held.”
On Nov. 26, the festival board recommends that participants park at the Lake Langhoffer boat ramp in Regional Park by 5:30 p.m. Pine Bluff Transit will transport patrons to the beginning of the route at the Delta Rivers Nature Center until 5:50 p.m.
The award-winning Enchanted Land of Lights and Legends will be open for driving through from 6-9 p.m. Nov. 26 through Dec. 25. Admission is free, however donations are welcomed at the end of the route, according to the release.
