A free vegetable production workshop will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, March 1, at the Jefferson County Cooperative Extension Service, 500 S. Idaho St. The workshop will end after lunch at 1 p.m., according to a news release.
The workshop is being conducted through a partnership between the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Small Farm Program, the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service and the U.S. Department of Agriculture Farm Service Agency.
The event will focus on insect, disease and weed management in vegetable production. Also, a Farm Service Agency (FSA) representative will be on hand to answer questions about farm loans, according to the release.
