UCA board member among 28 named to state panels

LITTLE ROCK — Gov. Mike Beebe on Wednesday named Robert “Bunny” Adcock of Conway to fill a vacancy on the University of Central Arkansas Board of Trustees. Adcock replaces Scott Roussel of Searcy who resigned amid questions about his role in a questionable financial arrangement involving a contribution from a university vendor for renovations at the UCA president’s residence.

Beebe appointed 28 people to state boards and commissions Wednesday including these Southeast Arkansas residents.

• Chinetta Davis of Pine Bluff was named to the Arkansas HIV/AIDS Minority Taskforce. Her appointment expires Feb. 1, 2015. She replaces Tere Roderick.

• Vickie Gibbs-Scott of Crossett was named to the Arkansas HIV/AIDS Minority Taskforce. Her appointment expires Feb. 1, 2016. She replaces Sue Worsham.
