The Student Government Association (SGA) at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff will host a Mayoral Forum Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the Hathaway-Howard Fine Arts Complex. The event is free and open to the public.
The goal of the event is to increase awareness and understanding of the political process.
“We wanted to get involved in the effort to rebuild Pine Bluff and Jefferson County,” said Carlton Brewer, SGA Vice President.
Candidates for Pine Bluff mayor are Mayor Carl A. Redus Jr., Clarence Davis, Debe Hollingsworth, Tim Whisenhunt, John James Jr., Peter Daniels Jr., Kent Broughton and Aldermen Thelma Walker and Steven Mays.
