The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff on Wednesday unveiled a new logo for its men’s golf program.

The “Swinging Legend” logo features a Golden Lion swinging a golf club and honors the team for its recent successes. UAPB won the 2023 and 2024 SWAC golf championships and the 2025 PGA Collegiate HBCU National Championship.

Five-time SWAC Coach of the Year Roger Totten said in a news release he is proud of the progress the program has made in recent years.

“We’ve gained national recognition because of the hard work and commitment of our student-athletes,” Totten said. “This logo is something truly special — a bold new symbol that we’ll wear with pride. It’s becoming a new trend in the golf world to convert your mascot into a golfer, and I’m excited that UAPB is leading the way with one as powerful as this.”

The “Swinging Legend” will serve as the UAPB golf team’s official logo going forward, differentiating it from the rest of the school’s athletics programs. It will appear on “uniforms, team gear and marketing materials,” according to UAPB.

The school also announced Wednesday it will begin selling “Swinging Legend” merchandise this fall.

Athletic Director Chris Robinson said the logo “perfectly captures the spirit and ambition” of the golf program.

“It’s a testament to the hard work, dedication, and championship mindset that Coach Totten and his student-athletes embody,” Robinson said. “We are incredibly proud of their achievements and look forward to seeing the ‘Swinging Legend’ represent UAPB on the national stage.”
