Lifeguard re-certification and training classes will be offered at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. The registration deadline is Wednesday, March 16.
The Division of Graduate Studies and Continuing Education, in collaboration with the Department of Health, Physical Education and Recreation, will offer the courses at the HPER complex swimming pool at UAPB.
The pretest for re-certification will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 19. The fee is $170. Lifeguard re-certification participants must hold a current Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED certificate.
Lifeguard training participants must be 15 or older. The training classes will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, March 21-23. The fee is $205. Details: 575-8317.
