The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff will host a blood drive for the Arkansas Blood Institute from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3.
UAPB invites area residents to take the blood donor challenge, according to a news release. Blood given will be used for patients in area hospitals such as Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Each blood donor will receive a Blood Donor Challenge T-shirt.
One single donation can save as many as three lives. Arkansas Blood Institute provides all the blood needed by patients in 23 hospitals across the state.
Appointments to donate are not required but can be made by calling 877-340-8777 or visiting arkbi.org
