University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff students, Ryan Williams Jr. and Austin Cox, were chosen as summer interns at Consolidated Electrical Distributors.
Williams is a senior from Memphis, Tennessee, majoring in business administration with a concentration in management.
Cox is a senior from Little Rock, majoring in business administration with a concentration in management.
Thirteen students were interviewed by Consolidated Electrical Distributors in the Office of Career Services. Both students received top ratings for their interviewing skills and were offered internship positions. The salary range is $13-$15 per hour.
Meanwhile, Rachel McAfee, a May 2017 accounting graduate from Pine Bluff, was offered a permanent position in Little Rock. Her salary range is $35,000 – $45,000 per year. McAfee participated in a cooperative education assignment at Stant US Corp. in Pine Bluff from spring 2016 through spring 2017.

During this opportunity, she received the highest rating for her work performance. She also participated in all of Career Services’ special events which include the Youth Motivation Task Force Program and Career Fairs.
She was also chosen to attend the Thurgood Marshall Leadership Institute in Washington, D.C., and InSight St. Louis Career Exploration Conference in St. Louis, Missouri. These opportunities helped to improve her leadership, communication and networking skills.
