UAPB sees jump in summer enrollment

The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff has seen an increase in enrollment for the summer II session, according to a press release.

Enrollment rose by 16.7 percent from 544 students in July 2014 to 635 this July.

“The university has put tremendous effort into increasing the numbers of new and continuing UAPB students for its summer school sessions,” said Linda Okiror, associate vice chancellor for enrollment management, in the release.

“Enrolling in summer courses is an indication that students are intent on graduating on time. We are very excited that this summer session trend will translate to an increase in the 2015 fall semester enrollment.”

Applications for admission are available at www.uapb.edu or by calling 870-575-8492. Fall registration will begin Tuesday, Aug. 18.
