UAPB plans garden conference at Marianna

The sixth annual Edible Gardens Conference will be held at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Agriculture Demonstration Outreach Center at Marianna from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, May 18.

The conference is aimed at local growers and residents, gardeners, SNAP recipients and anyone interested in food safety and eating a healthy diet using Arkansas-grown foods.

The event will showcase high tunnel gardening, which includes growing greens, sweet potatoes, lettuce, cabbage, tomatoes and cucumbers.
