The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff will host a farm financial planning workshop from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, March 10, at the S.J. Parker 1890 Cooperative Extension Complex.
Sponsored by the UAPB Small Farm Program, the workshop will emphasize records and how they are used to calculate funds needed for an upcoming operation. Cash flow projections and repayment ability will also be included.
Farmers and ranchers will learn how to make and use balance sheets to determine the financial condition of an operation. Other tools necessary for an operation will be discussed and questions about U.S. Department of Agriculture loan applications will also be answered.
