The University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff men’s basketball team will play Oklahoma State this season, Cowboys head coach Travis Ford announced Wednesday.
The Golden Lions will face off against the Cowboys at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15 at Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater.
In 2012-13, Big-12 member Oklahoma State went 24-9 (13-5 in conference play), but was upset by 12th-seeded Oregon 68-55 in its NCAA tournament opener.
UAPB finished this past season with a 16-14 record, including a 15-3 mark in Southwestern Athletic Conference games.
UAPB-Alabama State game time changes

The UAPB football team will begin its home and conference opener two hours earlier than originally scheduled.
Kickoff for the UAPB-Alabama State game has been changed from 6 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14 at Golden Lion Stadium.
According to www.al.com, the game will be available on ESPN3.com and broadcast on tape delay at 9:30 p.m. that night.
The Hornets finished 2012 with a record of 7-4, including a 7-2 mark in conference play.
The Golden Lions, who were picked to win the SWAC’s Western Division earlier this summer, won the 2012 SWAC Championship Game 24-21 over Jackson State to cap a 10-2 season. UAPB defeated Alabama State by the same score in the teams’ regular-season match-up in Montgomery.
