The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff announced Saturday it is hiring Mississippi College running backs coach and recruiting coordinator Miguel Black to the same positions.
Black spent three seasons with the Choctaws, also at one point coaching special teams. In 2022, his Mississippi College unit led Division II in rushing. He also coached the Division II yards per punt leader, Michael Shine, in 2023.
He produced two Gulf South Conference freshmen of the year and six other all-conference players.
UAPB averaged 118.4 rushing yards per SWAC game last season, which was 10th in the conference.
Black played defensive back at Mississippi College from 2015-18.
