Joe Friend, University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff forester, will be a presenter at the Keeping it in the Family Sustainable Forestry meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, at Shady Grove Baptist Church at Camden.
The UAPB Small Farm Program is sponsoring this meeting, according to a press release.
Friend is with the Sustainable Forestry and African American Land Retention program. He will discuss the managing forestland for profit and maximum production, importance of obtaining a forest management plan and U.S Department of Agriculture programs that can help forestland owners install improvement practices.
Topics will also include heir property issues, the need for clear title, along with wills and estate planning.
