One final nonconference road game awaits the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff on Sunday.
The UAPB men’s basketball team will face Texas at 2 p.m. at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, on SEC Network+.
UAPB (2-9) will be playing its 10th and final road game of its non-conference slate. This will be the fifth against a Power Four conference foe and the second against the SEC.
The Golden Lions are 0-9 in road games this year. Though they have had a few close calls, none came against Power Four teams. UAPB’s Big 12 and SEC opponents thus far have outscored the Golden Lions by 46.25 points per game.
Texas Tech has been the only Power Four team not to reach 100 points, finishing with 98. Kansas State scored a school-record 120 points.

Texas (8-2) has easily handled its mid-major opponents this season. The Longhorns are winning such games by an average of 29.8 points. They have played two other HBCUs this season, beating Mississippi Valley State 89-43 and Delaware State 90-68.
Freshman guard Tre Johnson leads the Longhorns with 21.1 points per game, while senior forward Arthur Kaluma averages 14.4 points and a team-high 7.0 rebounds per game. Texas is shooting 50.6% from the field this season and averages 7.1 made 3-pointers per game.
The Longhorns are 5-1 at home this season with the lone loss coming against Connecticut on Dec. 8.
