John Lee, Natural Resources Conservation Service state conservationist, and Alvin Peer, NRCS outreach coordinator, will visit the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff to discuss the Conservation Stewardship Program.
The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, at the S.J. Parker 1890 Cooperative Extension Complex.
The two officials will also help farmers, ranchers and landowners with enhancement decisions and help them sign up for the program so that applications are complete by the March 31 deadline.
The S.J. Parker Extension Complex is located at the corner of Oliver Road and L.A. “Prexy” Davis Drive. The workshop is sponsored by the UAPB Small Farm Program.
The Arkansas Cooperative Extension Program offers its programs to all eligible persons without discrimination.
