A free public concert by the University of Arkansas at Monticello Wind Symphony and Concert Band was rescheduled due to flooding in the region.
The concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, in the UAM Fine Arts Center auditorium. The event was originally scheduled for March 1, according to a news release.
Justin Anders, chair of the Division of Music, will direct the Wind Symphony while John Webb will conduct the Concert Band.
The performance will include “The Thunderer” by John Philip Sousa, “Dedicatory Overture” by Clifton Williams and selected works by Robert Sheldon and John Mackey, according to the release.
The performance will be preceded by a pre-concert lecture by Anders at 6:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center’s Spencer Gallery. Details: UAM Division of Music, 870-460-1060.
