The University of Arkansas at Monticello will be lighting the university Christmas tree at 5 p.m. Dec. 1 in the John F. Gibson University Center.
The Christmas celebration will include a holiday meal, music by UAM Chamber Choir and Jazz Ensemble, a recitation of “The Christmas Story” and a visit from Santa Claus. Shortly after 5 p.m., UAM Homecoming Queen Melissa Ohannes will light the tree.
The evening will conclude with the presentation and tribute honoring retiring Chancellor Jack Lassiter and his wife.
