Two shot in Pine Bluff; suspect wanted

A man is wanted in connection with a Wednesday night shooting that left two people injured.

Pine Bluff police are investigating a shooting in the 1500 block of West 29th Avenue. Officers responded to reports of gunfire at about 9:14 p.m. and located evidence police say is consistent with a shooting. Two individuals sustained gunshot injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment, according to police. Their conditions have not been released.

Police say they are looking for Tumarcus Deangelo Franklin, 23, a Black male, in connection with the shooting. Franklin reportedly fled the scene prior to the officers’ arrival and remains at large.

“The investigation has determined that this incident is domestic violence-related,” police stated in a news release. “Detectives with the Pine Bluff Police Department are continuing to gather evidence and conduct follow-up interviews.”

Police said additional details will be released as they become available.
