An investigation into alleged drug-related activity in the White Hall area ended Tuesday with the arrest of two people after Pine Bluff Police Department vice and narcotics officers and the SWAT team served a search warrant.
Detective William Ablondi said in a probable cause affidavit presented Thursday in district court that Amber Furgason, 32, and Michael Holbert, 33, were taken into custody inside a house in the 900 block of Hardin-Reed Road after officers forced the door open when no one answered it.
According to the affidavit, investigators found several clear plastic bags containing suspected methamphetamine in an eyeglass case and other items of drug paraphernalia in a bedroom that was being used by Holbert.
Ablondi said in the affidavit that the total weight of the suspected methamphetamine was .08 grams.
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $10,000 cash-only bond for Furgason after ruling prosecutors had probable cause to charge her with possession of a controlled substance with purpose to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Federal authorities who were also involved in serving the warrant will be filing charges against Holbert. He is currently being held at the adult detention center on probable cause of possession of a controlled substance with purpose to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, being a felon in possession of a firearm and simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms.
