Trinity Village Retirement Community held a major disaster exercise Friday at its Pine Bluff facility.
The exercise, which was attended by a representative from Jefferson County’s Office of Emergency Management, consisted of two parts: a scenario-discussion exercise with the senior leadership and a tornado-response drill with residents at its medical center. This type of dual-exercise was the first of its kind to be held at the facility.
The exercises were the capstone of a week of disaster preparedness for the Trinity Village, which also saw the completion of a redesign to the facility’s disaster plan.
