Trade Day, the first of four consecutive weekend activities that make up White Hall’s annual Founders Day celebration, is set for Saturday, rain or shine.
City Hall recorded 50 residences where yard sales will be held Saturday, in addition to individuals and vendors who plan on setting up tables at City Park. The City Council waived the permit fee for yard sales for Trade Day.
The Miss White Hall Pageant will be held Saturday, Aug. 11, said Stephanie Moreau, chairman of the event for the sponsoring White Hall Chamber of Commerce, at the White Hall High School gym.
The pageant times and divisions: Bitty Babies, newborn to 17-months-old; Teeny Tots, 18-months to 3 years; Itsy Bitsy, 4-6 years; Petite, 7-9; and Junior, 10-12, 10 a.m. at WHHS.
Miss Teen White Hall, 13-16 years, and Miss White Hall, 17-25, will be held at 6 p.m. at the school. No Mrs. White Hall pageant will be held this year, the chairman said.
