The law is law

The law is law

Editor, The Commercial:

Mr. Turner and Mr. Dempsey, the law is the law. In this situation the law is being broken. Period. Some people like to be treated as second-class citizens. We have a great school board. I have no problems with them. But the people of Pine Bluff are intelligent enough to vote good people to the school board.

Do they have to have an overseer to tell them they have all control but you have to do what we tell you? We know we have a problem with the educational system in public schools and you all think whoever is on the school board is going to stop these problems?

These are deep systemic racism problems. You might not agree with me but I’m a realist. I’m an alumnus of Pine Bluff High School (Class of 1983.) I was employed with Pine Bluff High School. I have been a volunteer with Pine Bluff School District.

My teachers never told me that breaking the law was ok. How many bids were submitted to do the construction to the school? Will the school get any state or federal money? Like an old song says, you can get with this or you can get with that.
