The Gardens at Whispering Knoll Assisted Living Facility, 6814 S. Hazel St., will host a mini marathon in observance of October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11.
The staff and residents of the Gardens and the Whispering Knoll Assisted Living Facility will sponsor the event. The guest speaker will be a survivor, Mary McBride, according to a news release.
The community is invited to attend. Refreshments will be served.
