The C.A.L.L. raised about $1,150 from its Breakfast with Santa fundraiser this weekend.
“We cleared around $650 from the fundraiser and then we received a $500 check from the White Hall Lions Club,” said Leslie Beatty, a board member for The C.A.L.L. “Overall, it was a good fundraiser for us.”
The Breakfast with Santa Fundraiser was on Saturday at White Hall City Hall. The fundraiser was the only fundraiser The C.A.L.L. (Children of Arkansas Loved for a Lifetime) had all year.
The C.A.L.L. is an organization that assists foster children awaiting adoption and families looking at adoption in Jefferson County.
“Our goal is to recruit and train Christians to be good foster or adoptive parents,” Beatty said. “We provide support and instruction to families looking to adopt or foster a child. We help with the paperwork that comes with the adoption process. We will also support the family after the child has become part of their family.”
Independent reporting for Pine Bluff & Jefferson County since 1879.
The C.A.L.L. will sometimes have a no-cost shopping day for foster or adoptive parents where they can get items or clothes for their children.
The C.A.L.L. also does many other things for families that are necessary to make the adoption or fostering process as easy as possible.
