Thanksgiving Day closings announced

Several agencies have announced their closing dates for Thanksgiving:

• The Jefferson County Courthouse closed at noon Wednesday, Nov. 22, and will be closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 23-24.

• Pine Bluff City Hall is closed Wednesday through Friday, Nov. 22-23.

• Altheimer City Hall is closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 23-24.

• White Hall City Hall is closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 23-24.

• State offices are closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 23-24.

• Liberty Utilities water company is closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 23-24.

• Area Agency on Aging’s main office is closed Thursday, Nov. 23. Southeast Arkansas Transportion (SEAT) will run for cancer and dialysis patients only Thursday and Friday, Nov. 23-24. The Strachota Senior Center will be closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 23-24.

• Waste Management trash pickups will run one day behind schedule starting Thursday, Nov. 23.

• The U.S. Postal Service will be closed Thursday, Nov. 23.

• Banks and other financial institutions are closed Thursday, Nov. 23.

• The Commercial’s business offices are closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 23-24.
