Thanks to voters
Editor, Pine Bluff Commercial:
On March 5, 2024, the voters of Jefferson and Lincoln counties confirmed their confidence in me for the job I have done over the past four terms. I, along with the staff of the District Court, Division 2 have managed a court that has served the community with fairness, justice and dignity.
For the opportunity afforded me to return another term, many thanks are extended to the voters of Jefferson County, including cities of Pine Bluff, White Hall, Altheimer, Humphrey, Redfield and adjacent towns; and Lincoln County cities including Star City, Gould, Grady and adjacent towns and communities, for their overwhelming votes to re-elect me as District Judge for four more years.
Independent reporting for Pine Bluff & Jefferson County since 1879.
I also thank them for the voices of support that I have come to treasure from them in our official and/or chance meetings. I want them to continue to be assured that my commitment to even-handed dignified dispensation of justice will continue to guide my efforts as their elected judge. I am convinced that being a competent and fair public servant is one of the highest callings of good citizenship.
To those who showed support through allowing me before their gatherings, by donations, putting up, or allowing signs on their premises or passing on the “good word” for me, I remain forever grateful.
Again, to each, and all who supported me, thank you. It is an honor to serve.
John L. Kearney, District Judge – Division 2,
Pine Bluff
