The Southwestern Athletic Conference announced its 2024 conference football schedule Tuesday.

The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff will play its eight SWAC games over the course of eight weeks in October and November. UAPB’s SWAC opponents are the same as last year with the home and road games swapped.

The Golden Lions will open SWAC play with a road trip to Alcorn State on Oct. 5. The SWAC home opener will be the following week against Prairie View A&M.

After an Oct. 19 road trip to Grambling State, UAPB will host its annual homecoming game Oct. 26 against Mississippi Valley State.

UAPB will open November at Jackson State before hosting Alabama A&M. The Golden Lions will then travel to Southern before wrapping up the regular season at home Nov. 23 against Texas Southern.

The non-conference slate is still being finalized. Three games have been announced with a fourth expected to be announced soon.

The University of Arkansas has released its schedule, confirming UAPB will face the Razorbacks on Aug. 31 at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock. This will be the second-ever meeting between the two UA System members.

The Golden Lions will make their second straight trip to the Southern Heritage Classic on Sept. 14, which will pit UAPB against Tennessee State at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium in Memphis. The next week, UAPB will host the University of Central Arkansas at Simmons Bank Field, according to UCA’s schedule.
