The following area students recently received the freshman award from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock:
Haylee Tucker, a Sheridan High School graduate; Megan Marlette, a Star City High School graduate; James Hubbard of Wabbaseka, a White Hall High School graduate; and Lacee Knight of Rison, a Woodlawn High School graduate.
This scholarship requires the recipient to have successfully obtained a 22 or above on the ACT and a cumulative high school grade point average of at least 3.00. The scholarship awards $8,000 over four years if renewal requirements are met.
