Area Agency on Aging for Southeast Arkansas will host a ribbon cutting for the new parking lot at the Strachota Senior Center, 801 E. Eighth Ave.
The event will be Monday, Nov. 9. The Men in Black singing group will perform at 10 a.m. and the ribbon cutting will be at 10:45 a.m.
The public is invited to attend. Guests will include state Sen. Stephanie Flowers and former state Rep. James Word, who made donations to the project.
“This parking lot will increase the safety of our seniors that were parking at the convention center and walking across that street,” a spokesman said.
