A Stop the Violence Round-Up and Community Service Day will be held at Townsend Park Saturday, Sept. 9, starting with a cleanup at 8 a.m.
A program will be held at 11 a.m. featuring a solo by Jakiya Barnes and words of encouragement by Pine Bluff Mayor Shirley Washington.
Lunch will be served. Sponsors are Evelyn Horton, city of Pine Bluff chief housing inspector, 870-730-2031; and Patty Lee, coordinator of Stop the Violence, 870-489-6788.
The community is invited to attend the day of food, fun and fellowship, a spokeswoman said in a press release.
