LITTLE ROCK — The state Republican Party announced Monday that Michael Lambert of Conway will direct its 2012 elections program.
Lambert will be in charge of the day-to-day operations of the party’s 2012 Victory Program and will oversee field staff, statewide grassroots efforts, communications and fundraising, the party said in a release.
Lambert led the party’s get-out-the-vote effort in 2010 and was a field director for its 2008 Victory Program. He has worked on various campaigns, including Asa Hutchinson’s unsuccessful 2006 gubernatorial bid and George W. Bush’s successful 2004 re-election campaign.
He has a bachelor’s degree in political science and speech communication from the University of Central Arkansas and is pursuing a master’s degree in political management from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
The party is seeking to win majorities in the state Legislature, re-elect three Republican U.S. House members and put a Republican in the U.S. House seat being left open by Democrat Mike Ross.
