The Arkansas Department of Education will sponsor a Community Listening Forum from 5:30-7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10, at the Arkansas River Education Service Cooperative, 912 W. Sixth Ave.
The public is invited to attend the forum. The hosts will be ARESC Director Danny Hazelwood and Kay Simpson, assistant director/teacher center coordinator.
“The ADE invites stakeholders from across public and private education, parents, business leaders, and all student advocacy groups to lend a voice to ensure all students have equitable access to high-quality education,” a news release said. “The forums will provide stakeholders general information about the ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) and encourage participants to share their ideas on how communities can support quality schools.”
