A Star City man was killed and a second arrested Tuesday after a shooting incident in Lincoln County. Todd Johnson, 27, was found in the front yard of a residence at 1008 Greystone Lane at 4:20 p.m. after sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of shots fired. Johnson had been shot and was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Special agents of the Arkansas State Police, who are assisting Lincoln County deputies with the investigation, arrested Mark Harris, 55, of Star City in connection with the shooting. He is being held in the Lincoln County jail pending the filing of formal charges. Harris is expected to make his first court appearance in Lincoln County District Court on Thursday. Johnson’s body was sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory at Little Rock for an autopsy.
