The Star City girls basketball team began its 2015-16 basketball season with a bang. The Bulldogs were very impressive Tuesday evening in the OBU Lady Tigers Invitational, as they defeated the Centerpoint Knights by the score of 55-14.
Star City was just too much for the Knights to handle, and a big second quarter for the Bulldogs sprung them to a blowout victory.
The victory was the result of a great team effort, but there were a couple of standout performers. Sara Jane Linsy led all scoring for the Bulldogs with 18 points, and LaTia Harris added 13 points to help the team cruise to an easy win.
Star City will continue competing in the OBU Lady Tigers Invitational when they square off against the Nashville Scrappers at 5:30 pm. today.
