Star City beats Warren in six

WARREN — Hunter Johnson held Warren to three hits as Star City defeated Warren 11-0 in six innings on Friday in 8-4A Conference baseball action.

Johnson went all six innings and struck out six as he did not walk a batter.

Dagen Levengood went 2 for 3 with two RBIs, Jake Carr was 1 for 3 with two runs scored and an RBI and Zach House was 1 for 3 with two runs scored for Star City (12-8, 7-5 8-4A).

For Warren, Drake Jones pitched five innings in the loss.

Jones had a double in the game and Logan Adams and Kaly Harris each had a hit.

Star City plays at 4:30 p.m. on Monday at DeWitt.

Junction City 1, Dumas 0

JUNCTION CITY — Dumas suffered a loss at Junction City after the game was suspended in the fifth inning and eventually called due to rain.

Dumas (10-3) was batting in the fifth with one out and runners at second and third when play was originally halted.

El Dorado 8, Sheridan 0

El Dorado blanked Sheridan in the pouring rain in a 6A-South Conference soccer match.

Sheridan dropped to 4-5 in conference action.

POSTPONEMENTS

The rain postponed a few events on Friday.

The Pine Bluff baseball game at Lake Hamilton was rescheduled at 4 p.m. on Monday. Fordyce’s baseball game at Rison was also postponed with no make-up date set yet.

The Butler Relays was moved to Monday and the 8-3A Conference track and field meet was postponed with a make-up date yet to be announced.

Monticello’s softball game at DeWitt was postponed with no make-up date set.
